#1 Wisdom Wednesdays – On Kindness

ww_1

“Kindness is very much like everything else in the real world; too much of it isn’t good for anyone. I’ve experienced being too kind to everyone and I realized that that attitude is prone to abuse. Yes, once I try to change that aspect of my personality, people might distance themselves from me and that is something I have to be ready for but at the end of the day, I earn the respect and the appreciation that my level of kindness deserves to receive. In the process, you tend to lose rather than to gain people but that doesn’t mean that you should go back to being who you were. You just have to find the right balance between kindness and learning how to say ‘no’ without being too harsh or too cruel.”
